When it came to a family holiday to Italy I was worried! Pasta and Pizza – not a good combo for a wheat intolerance! Cheeses and gelato – not what you need with dairy and lactose intolerances. We booked a week half board at the Grand Hotel Moon Valley in Vico Equense near Sorrento. We were quite frankly blown away by Luigi the head chef who catered for all of our needs. We even managed to all take part in the pizza party, yes gluten and dairy free pizza was served with a smile! We can not recommend this hotel enough for their ability to cater for our various dietary needs and for the stunning views from the hotel and pool. It was a brilliant holiday and if you have intolerances please don’t be afraid to book and stay at the Grand Hotel Moon Valley near Sorrento. We had gluten free pasta, pizza and bread. Dairy free desserts, vegetarian meals. They were all delicious and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is also convenient for transport links to Sorrento town, Pompeii and Naples. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!
